L4D PoemRight outside the safe house,
was a horde of zombies we roused.
In that horde was a Boomer,
of which I wish we'd shot sooner.
It exploded on us,
covering us in puke and pus.
We tossed out a gas can,
shooting it, we turned and ran.
The zombies burst into flame.
Earlier they ran; now they were lame.
We started out again, at a crawl,
because we had just heard a woman bawl.
Seeing a pair of red eyes in the night,
it gave all of us an awful fright.
Someone suggested we shoot it,
but I said it she would have a nasty fit.
So instead, we crept around her,
looking back, her eyes were just a blur.
A girl in our party let out a scream,
and pointed at a steel beam.
Which was lifted up with an almighty yank,
and standing beneath it was an angry Tank.
He threw the beam, which missed.
But it didn't solve our problem, 'cause he was pissed.
Someone shotgunned him in the back,
and he fell to the ground with an almighty crack.
Unfortunately, the survivors numbered only three:
Lemieux, Laurie, and me.
