I'm running out of ideas for making things on the scroll saw. There are only so many emblems out there that are decent to work with.
So, here's a summation of all the things I've got up there, going clockwise from the top left.
This first piece is an emblem for a friend of mine, and I've posted this one already to DevART. It's painted gold, and is made from a 1/4" piece of plywood.
The top center piece is the emblem for Skyrim. Made out of cherry wood from my grandfather's farm, this was probably the most difficult of all the pieces here. Should I start selling these?
The top right is a locomotive driving wheel, set to G scale. For those of you who have no idea what this is, it's one of the bright red wheels in this: [[link] G scale is 1:23.1 or so. I made the drawing using AutoCAD, then tried to cut it out, finding that my scroll saw is too big for some of the finer details. This is made out of plywood.
The bottom right piece has been posted here on DevART before: It's made of plywood, for a friend, when I asked him for ideas. His response was "a pair of angel wings with a claymore in the center". Plywood.
The bottom center is a fleur-de-lis. It's seen everywhere, from Boy Scouts to my high school to Saints Row 3. I'm tempted to paint it blue and put white striping around it. Or, should I just stain it? Made from cherry wood.
Finally, at the bottom left is the Borderlands logo. "It's repeated, with a symbol that looks not unlike a circle with an upside-down 'V' in it. It's possible that THIS, is the Vault." This piece was also made with cherry wood.
I haven't been doing anything as of late, though. Cut myself on a bandsaw a few months back, and haven't had time to make anything else. Getting an engineering degree is quite a chore.
